As some of you may have noticed I've been fretting a little over my first proper public speaking engagement at my employer's annual conference.
After much (and I mean much) rehearsal and tweaking over the past couple of days I was reasonably pleased with how it went: a small room with around 30 or so people in, plenty of audience interaction and I kept reasonably well too time. Timekeeping was one of my big concerns, as I have a tendency to rush when nervous (a trait which I believe to be fairly common).
Anyhoo, big smile at the beginning, big smile at the end and I think I may be on my way to more of these kind of things. Next stop: VMworld! (ahem)
