So... as some of you may have seen I failed to prepare properly for the VCP6 exam last week, and as a consequence I missed the mark. Today I re-sat the exam having spent a number of hours reading through the docs for the stuff I'd struggled with (software FCoE, SIOC, NIOC, SDRS, AutoDeploy) and then spent some time in the lab inducing failure conditions so I could troubleshoot with the relevant tools (particularly resxtop), as well as practising deployment with autodeply.
Aced it. Best certification exam result that I've ever had.
It's amazing the difference that proper preparation makes.
Onwards to VCP6-NV, then the 2 VCAP certs for VCIX!
